In the dark lore of 40K, few chapters command as much silent terror as the Carcharodons (Space Sharks). They strike from the outer dark, cold, brutal, and merciless.
To honor these apex predators of the void, our studio undertook a massive project: bringing a fully mechanized Cyber-Shark Mount to life. Today, we are opening our workshop doors to show you the entire creation process—from the initial digital sculpt and 3D print to the final, museum-grade custom repaint.
⚙️ Phase 1: The Digital Forge (3D Modeling & Resin Printing)
Every legendary piece begins in the digital forge. Before a single drop of paint touched the surface, this apex predator was meticulously sculpted using advanced 3D digital modeling software.
Our design team spent days perfecting the intricate biomechanical details—seamlessly fusing the organic, terrifying anatomy of a great white shark with heavy, industrial imperial cybernetics. Every sub-aquatic thruster, power cable, and armor plate was digitally engineered for perfect 1:18 scale compatibility.
Once the digital sculpt was flawless, we brought it into the physical world using high-resolution 3D resin printing. The result was a razor-sharp, ultra-detailed prototype base, perfectly primed and ready for our master painters to work their magic.
🎨 Phase 2: Painting the Void Beast (Airbrushing & Base Coats)
Once the resin prototype was cleaned and cured, we transitioned to the paint booth. The challenge was making the organic shark skin look alive, cold, and subterranean, while giving the mechanical parts a heavy, historical weight.

The Bioluminescent Skin: We applied a seamless airbrush gradient stretching from a dark ocean-slate grey on the spine down to a stark, ghostly white underbelly.

The Blood in the Water: The massive jaw was detailed with rows of razor-sharp teeth, finished with a high-gloss realism coat. We added a subtle blood-rushing pink flush around the gums to simulate a predator mid-hunt.
⚔️ Phase 3: Marks of the Exile & Grimdark Weathering
The final stage is where our studio's signature craftsmanship truly shines. A true Carcharodons relic must carry the weight of centuries of hidden wars.

Hand-Painted Exile Markings: True to Space Sharks lore, we painstakingly hand-lined traditional Polynesian/Maori-inspired tribal war tattoos onto the main fins and tail. Every white line was drawn with micro-precision to contrast beautifully against the slate-grey skin.

Heavy Battle-Damage: The cybernetic armor plating was subjected to multi-layered weathering. We applied realistic oil washes into the recesses to mimic ancient salt-crust and grime, followed by metallic chipping on the plate edges to show void-debris impacts.

Engine Heat Staining: The rear exhaust nozzles and side thrusters were treated with heat distortion washes (blue, purple, and burnt copper) to look like functioning, active cybernetics.
🌌 The Finished Masterpiece: Ready for the Hunt
After weeks of digital designing, 3D printing, and micro-painting, the apex predator of the deep void is complete. This custom-painted Carcharodons Cyber-Shark perfectly captures the gritty, dark-millennium aesthetic that collectors dream of.
Whether it is paired with a heavy Terminator captain or displayed as a standalone center relic, it commands the room.
